A parallel rendition of the classic Chicago colorway among the Air Jordan 1 Satin lineup has now arrived for the ladies (and gentlemen) of the sneaker community. It goes by many names, but only one thing is for sure - it is a scene-stealer once worn on your feet and will slither its way into your wardrobe and sneaker rotation. With a mixture of leather, satin, and faux snakeskin details, the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Satin Red" is ready to strut down the red carpets and streets with its classic-exotic look.
The AJ1 Satin Red switches up the color blocking of the 2019 Satin Black Toe model while still reflecting the OG Chicago Bulls theme. Dressed up in vibrant red satin are the mudguards, eyestay, and ankle collars. For further enhancement, white leathers keep their place on the perforated toe box and side panels. All visually and structurally upgraded, the sock liners and padded tongue with a black Nike Air tag also carry the same red. Now the exciting part comes in hits of black at the rear end of the sneakers. Faux snakeskin material fills in the heels, side wings, and the traditional Nike Swoosh - adding an accentuating texture that can be seen even from afar. An Air Jordan Wings logo comes embossed onto the side wings, seemingly hidden across the material. To balance out the fancy-looking upper, minimalist white midsole for the standard Air cushioning and a pure black outsole for solid traction take charge underfoot.
The AJ1 Retro OG Satin Red launched for 170 USD last August 2020 as part of the women-exclusive collection but is also available in men's sizes.
